Pakistan big-hitting batsman Sohaib Maqsood believes Abbas Afridi and Mohammad Ali are the most in form T20 bowlers in the country.
Abbas has represented the men in green in 18 T20Is to date and taken 30 wickets at an average of 14.96. This has led to him being a regular face in the team in the shortest format.
As for Ali, he has yet to make his T20I debut, but recent took part in the Champions T20 Cup, where he finished as the highest wicket-taker with 22 wickets in nine matches for the Stallions at an incredible average of 9.72.
Given how good both Abbas and Ali have been, Maqsood listed them as the top T20 bowlers ahead of the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Abbas will play for the Karachi Kings in PSL 10, while Ali will represent the Peshawar Zalmi.
“Probably [the] 2 most in form T20 bowlers in Pakistan,” he said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Abbas was recently involved in Pakistan’s T20I series against South Africa and claimed three wickets in two games at an average of 25.33.
After their tour of South Africa, Pakistan faced the West Indies in a two-Test series in Multan, which ended as a 1-1 draw.
Next up for them will be the ODI tri-series against New Zealand and South Africa, after which they will play in the 2025 Champions Trophy, which will take place from February 19 to March 9.
It should be noted that neither Abbas nor Ali were included in Pakistan’s team.
