Former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja has praised spinner Noman Ali for his “world-class” variations.
He noted that the 38-year-old is devastatingly effective on spin-friendly pitches, as seen in the last couple of Test series played in Pakistan.
Most recently, Noman was in action in the two-Test series against the West Indies and took 16 wickets, which included two five-wicket hauls, at an average of 12.62.
Given the way the West Indian batsmen struggled when facing the Sanghar native, Ramiz attributed it to the different types of deliveries he has stored in his arsenal.
“Noman’s variations on a spinning track are world-class,” he said on his YouTube channel as quoted by Cricket Pakistan.
Since Noman has only been used in Test cricket, he was not picked for the 2025 Champions Trophy, which will be played from February 19 to March 9.
