Former Pakistan cricketer Faisal Iqbal has labelled up-and-coming batsman Shahzaib Khan as a “future batting star”.
Shahzaib has been grabbing highlines with his outstanding performances for the Pakistan Under-19 team.
Recently, he featured in the Asian Cricket Council Under-19s Asia Cup and finished as the highest run-scorer with 336 runs in four matches, which included two centuries, at an average of 84.
He then played in the Champions T20 Cup and amassed 76 runs in five games for the Lions at an average of 19.
Considering the fact Shahzaib is just 19 years old, Faisal thinks he has a really bright future ahead of him.
“Future batting star Shahzaib Khan,” he said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The Pakistan team recently travelled to Australia and won the ODI series 2-1 before getting pummelled 3-0 in the T20Is.
