Pakistan batsman Kamran Ghulam believes more rewards will come his way if he continues to work hard.
Ghulam has enjoyed an exceptional start to his international career and will be determined to cement his spot in the national team by consistently scoring runs.
In the recent three-match ODI series against Australia, he only batted once and scored five runs.
The 29-year-old got more batting time during the three ODIs against Zimbabwe and made it count as he amassed 120 runs, which included a career-best knock of 103, at an average of 60.
Pakistan then took on South Africa and while Ghulam didn’t feature in the T20I series, he was involved in the three-match ODI series, where he accumulated 67 runs, which included a top score of 63, at an average of 22.33.
In the two Tests that followed, he finished with 98 runs, which included a top score of 54, at an average of 24.50.
“My job is to perform. For me, it’s important to keep working hard, and I believe the rewards will follow,” the Upper Dir native was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
“Hard work is the key, and I’m confident that consistent performances will bring their reward.”
Pakistan are now facing the West Indies in a two-Test series and Ghulam posted scores of 5 and 27 in the 1st Test in Multan, which the men in green won by 127 runs.
The 2nd Test starts on January 25 in Multan.
