Pakistan limited overs captain Mohammad Rizwan has lauded 150 kph fast bowler Haris Rauf, saying he really enjoys watching him bowl.
Rizwan added that Rauf, who is a key player in limited overs cricket, has been performing very well over the last two years.
Recently, the 31-year-old featured in Pakistan’s white-ball series against Australia and took 10 wickets in three ODIs, which included a five-wicket haul, at an average of 12.
He continued to impress in the T20I series, picking up five wickets in three games at an average of 15.40.
After the Australia tour, Rauf was involved in Pakistan’s series against Zimbabwe and began by claiming three wickets in three ODIs at an average of 32.
As for the three-match T20I series, he snapped up three wickets in two games at an average of 10.
He then featured in Pakistan’s tour of South Africa, but saw a dip in form as he went wicketless in both the T20I and ODI series.
Despite this small setback, Rizwan hailed Rauf for his brilliant performances and wants him to keep taking wickets and being a nightmare for opposition teams.
“I really enjoy Haris Rauf’s bowling. He has been doing really well for Pakistan for the last two years,” he was quoted as saying by journalist Farid Khan on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Pakistan’s next assignment will be a two-Test series against the West Indies, which will take place in Karachi and Multan from January 16 to 28.
