Former Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Atiq-uz-Zaman has pointed out that all-rounder Jahandad Khan could get injured due to his bowling action.
He noted that the 21-year-old needs to be careful about this and potentially rectify the issue before it becomes a serious problem.
Jahandad has seen more opportunities come his way at the international level as he recently represented Pakistan in their T20I series against Australia, where he made five runs in one match and took one wicket.
The Rawalpindi native then played in all three T20Is against Zimbabwe and scored six runs, while also picking up three wickets at an average of 24.
During the tour of South Africa, Jahandad was selected for the three-match T20I series, but only ended up featuring in one match, in which he claimed two wickets at an average of 20.
“Jahandad’s action needs to be considered as he clearly has a mixed action which can cause injuries in [the] future,” Atiq said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Pakistan and South Africa then faced each other in a two-match Test series, which the Proteas won 2-0.
