Rumman Raees: “One of the best batters Pakistan ever produced”

Pakistan left-arm fast bowler Rumman Raees has called Babar Azam one of the best batsmen the country has ever produced.
Azam has led by example with the bat for numerous years across all three formats and has played plenty of match-winning knocks as well.
Lately, he featured in Pakistan’s limited overs series against Australia and scored 80 runs in three ODIs at an average of 80.
He then made 47 runs in three T20Is at an average of 15.66.
Following this, Pakistan embarked on a trip to Zimbabwe, but Azam was rested for both the ODI and T20I series.
The 30-year-old returned for the ongoing tour of South Africa and amassed 31 runs in two T20Is at an average of 15.50.
As for the three-match ODI series, he accumulated 148 runs, which included two fifties, at an average of 49.33.
“One of the best batters Pakistan ever produced,” Raees said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Pakistan and South Africa are now playing a two-Test series, which the Proteas lead 1-0 after winning the 1st Test by two wickets.
In that match, Azam posted scores of 4 and 50.
The 2nd Test got underway on January 3 in Cape Town.
