Former Pakistan speedster Tanvir Ahmed has expressed his anger over the decision to drop spinner Sajid Khan for the ongoing two-Test series against South Africa.
Sajid made his Test comeback midway through the three-match series against England in October 2024.
Picked for the 2nd and 3rd Tests, the 31-year-old took 19 wickets, which included two five-wicket hauls, at an average of 21.10.
Considering how good his form was, Tanvir admitted he cannot believe the selectors decided to axe Sajid from the Test team for the South Africa series.
“Where are the selectors, where is Sajid Khan, what kind of drama is this, why is he not in the Test team, if there is any fitness issue then tell me,” he said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Pakistan lost the 1st Test against South Africa in Centurion by two wickets.
The 2nd Test started on January 3 in Cape Town.
