Pakistan fast bowler Muhammad Musa Khan has made it clear that he is “coming back stronger” following a string of impressive performances in domestic cricket.
Musa recently played in the Champions T20 Cup, where he was the second-highest run-scorer with 16 wickets in nine matches for the Lions at an average of 18.06.
The 24-year-old is also the highest wicket-taker in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, where he has claimed 38 wickets in five matches for Islamabad Region, which includes five five-wicket hauls, at an average of 9.81.
Musa has featured in one Test, two ODIs and two T20Is for Pakistan, but his last international match came all the way back in November 2020.
Having dominated across multiple formats in domestic cricket, the Islamabad native will no doubt be targeting a recall to the national team.
“Grateful for the journey so far, hungry for what’s next. I’m coming back stronger,” he said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The Pakistan team recently travelled to Australia and won the ODI series 2-1 before getting hammered 3-0 in the T20Is.
They then went to Zimbabwe and came away with a 2-1 win in both the ODI and T20I series.
Currently, Pakistan are in South Africa and lost the T20I series 2-0 before rebounding to secure a 3-0 victory in the ODIs.
As for the ongoing two-Test series, the men in green are 1-0 down after losing the 1st Test in Centurion by two wickets.
The 2nd Test started on January 3 in Cape Town.
