Fakhar Zaman: “Jofra Archer seems a difficult bowler to me because he is very challenging with the new ball”

Pakistan batsman Fakhar Zaman has admitted that England seamer Jofra Archer is a “difficult bowler” to face “because he is very challenging with the new ball”.
Archer is one of the fastest bowlers in international cricket right now and has been recorded at speeds of 153 kph in the past.
Considering the fact that he has lethal pace and the ability to swing the ball, Zaman conceded that his skills are put to the test whenever he goes up against him.
“Jofra Archer seems a difficult bowler to me because he is very challenging with the new ball,” he was quoted as saying by journalist Arfa Feroz Zake on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Zaman was not picked for Pakistan’s recent limited overs series against Australia, Zimbabwe and South Africa.
Instead, he featured for the Markhors in the Champions T20 Cup and scored 303 runs in 10 matches, which included two half-centuries, at an average of 30.30 and a strike-rate of 132.31.
During their tour of Australia, Pakistan won the ODI series 2-1 before being whitewashed 3-0 in the T20Is.
The men in green then went to Zimbabwe and came away with a 2-1 win in both the ODI and T20I series.
As for their ongoing tour of South Africa, Pakistan lost the T20I series 2-0 before rebounding to secure a 3-0 victory in the ODIs.
The men in green and the Proteas are now playing a two-Test series, which South Africa leads 1-0 after winning the 1st Test in Centurion by two wickets.
The 2nd Test will start on January 3 in Cape Town.
