Pakistan all-rounder Faheem Ashraf has identified batsman Waqar Ahmed and fast bowler Awais Ali as two “really talented players”.
Faheem’s comments come after he played alongside them while captaining the Dolphins in the Champions T20 Cup.
Waqar featured in three matches and scored 71 runs, which included a career-best 55, at an average of 23.66.
As for Awais, he went wicketless in the two games he played.
Despite not getting many opportunities during the tournament, Faheem was highly impressed with Waqar and Awais’ performances.
“If we look at the positives then we have seen some really talented players like Waqar and Awais. They got their chance and we are happy about it,” he was quoted as saying by PakPassion on X, formerly known as Twitter.
