Up-and-coming Pakistan fast bowler Shahid Aziz has explained the reason for his success so far, saying he simply hits a good length and sticks to his strengths.
Aziz was one of the top performers in the Champions T20 Cup, where he represented the Lions.
The 21-year-old finished as the joint third-highest wicket-taker with 15 wickets in nine matches at an average of 19.60.
“The plan was to hit the good length and stick to my strengths,” he was quoted as saying by PakPassion on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The Pakistan team recently took on Australia in a limited overs series and won the ODI leg 2-1 before being crushed 3-0 in the T20Is.
They then went to Zimbabwe and registered a 2-1 victory in both the ODI and T20I series.
The men in green are now in South Africa and began by losing the T20I series 2-0 before bouncing back to secure a 3-0 win in the ODIs.
Pakistan and Zimbabwe are now facing each other in a two-Test series, which began on December 26 in Centurion.
