Lahore Qalandars head coach Darren Gough has praised Pakistan pace bowler Haris Rauf, saying he can “bowl very quickly on his day”.

Rauf is among the fastest bowlers Pakistan have right now as he has been clocked at over 150 kph in the past.

Additionally, the 31-year-old has been in a rich vein of form recently, especially during Pakistan’s limited overs tours of Australia and Zimbabwe.

Against Australia, Rauf took 10 wickets in three ODIs, which included a five-for, at an average of 12.

He then proceeded to play in the three-match T20I series and picked up five wickets at an average of 15.40.

Pakistan then took on Zimbabwe in three ODIs and Rauf finished the series with three wickets at an average of 32.

He continued to stay red-hot in the T20Is, claiming three wickets in two games at an average of 10.

“He can bowl very quickly on his day,” Gough, a former England speedster, told PakPassion.

Pakistan are now facing South Africa, but Rauf went wicketless in both the T20I and ODI series.

Next up will be the two-Test series between Pakistan and South Africa, which gets underway on December 26 in Centurion.
