Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Sarfaraz Ahmed said everyone wants to see fast bowler Ihsanullah come roaring back.
Ihsanullah was out of action for a lengthy period of time with elbow and shoulder injuries, but made his long-awaited return in December 2024.
The 22-year-old has been representing the Dolphins in the Champions T20 Cup and has taken two wickets in four matches at an average of 62.50.
Even though his performance is a far cry from that of the 2023 Pakistan Super League (PSL), where he claimed 22 wickets in 12 games for the Multan Sultans at an average of 15.77, Sarfaraz is still glad to see the Matta native back on the field.
“The medical panel is monitoring his progress. He has shown his ability with the ball in the HBL PSL and we all want him to stage a bumper comeback,” he was quoted as saying by Geo Super.
The Pakistan team recently toured Australia and came away with mixed results as they won the ODI series 2-1 before being whitewashed 3-0 in the T20Is.
As for their trip to Zimbabwe, the men in green won both the ODI and T20I series 2-1.
Pakistan are now in South Africa and began in disappointing fashion as they were beaten 2-0 in the T20I series.
However, they bounced back to secure a 3-0 win in the ODIs.
Pakistan and South Africa will now play a two-Test series, which begins on December 26 in Centurion.
