Shah Faisal: “Right now, you’d have to say the most promising all-rounder in Pakistan is Aamer Jamal”

Cricket commentator Shah Faisal has selected Aamer Jamal as the “most promising all-rounder in Pakistan”.
Jamal has shown immense potential with both the bat and ball in the six Test matches he has played to date.
Having had an instant impact since making his debut against Australia in December 2023, Faisal acknowledged that the 28-year-old could be the ideal all-rounder Pakistan have long been searching for.
“Right now, you’d have to say the most promising all-rounder in Pakistan is Aamer Jamal,” he was quoted as saying by PakPassion on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Jamal didn’t feature in Pakistan’s two-Test series against Bangladesh, which the men in green lost 2-0.
He was then involved in Pakistan’s three-Test series against England and took one wicket at an average of 165.
Batting-wise, he amassed 114 runs, which included a top score of 55 not out, at an average of 28.50.
After the England series, Jamal did not feature in Pakistan’s limited overs tour of Australia.
He did, however, play in the three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe and claimed three wickets in three games at an average of 28.33.
As for the three T20Is that followed, Jamal was not involved in any of the matches.
Pakistan are now taking on South Africa in a T20I series and trail 1-0 after losing the 1st T20I by 11 runs.
The second T20I will be held on December 14 in Centurion.
Following this, Pakistan and South Africa will play three ODIs and two Tests, which will begin on December 17 and December 26 respectively.
