Veteran Pakistan cricketer Ahmed Shehzad said pace bowler Abbas Afridi and the batting duo of Sahibzada Farhan and Haseebullah Khan have all shown intent when playing.

The trio have predominantly represented Pakistan in T20Is and were in action during the recent limited overs series against Australia and Zimbabwe.

In the three T20Is against Australia, Farhan scored 22 runs at an average of 7.33, while Haseebullah amassed 36 runs in two games at an average of 18.

As for Afridi, he took six wickets at an average of 6.66.

Pakistan were then involved in a three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe, with Farhan accumulating four runs in one game, while Haseebullah did not feature in any of the matches.

Afridi, meanwhile, claimed five wickets in three games at an average of 7.60.

“Youngsters like Sahibzada, Haseebullah, and Abbas showed intent,” Shehzad said on X, formerly known as Twitter, according to Cricket Pakistan.

Pakistan’s next assignment will be a tour of South Africa, which will consist of three T20Is, three ODIs and two Tests.

The T20I series will start on December 10, while the ODI and Test series will get underway on December 17 and December 26 respectively.
