Pakistan limited overs vice-captain Salman Ali Agha has lauded fast bowler Haris Rauf, saying he is “bowling amazingly well right now”.
Salman noted that Rauf does exceptionally well when playing in Australia, which was evident during the recent white-ball series.
In the three ODIs, the 31-year-old picked up 10 wickets, which included a five-wicket haul, at an average of 12.
He then proceeded to take five wickets in three T20Is at an average of 15.40.
“Haris (Rauf) wears his heart on his sleeve and whenever he comes to Australia, he becomes a different bowler. He takes wickets here all the time, if you look at Big Bash or the T20 World Cup too. He is bowling amazingly well right now as well,” Salman was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
Rauf is now in action in Pakistan’s ODI series against Zimbabwe, where he has claimed one wicket in two games at an average of 62.
The series is tied at 1-1 heading into the decider on November 28 in Bulawayo.
Once the ODIs are done, Pakistan and Zimbabwe will play three T20Is, with the first game scheduled to be held on December 1 in Bulawayo.
