Pakistan batsman Irfan Khan wants to perform against all the top teams in the world as he knows this is what will make him a “big player”.
Irfan recently featured in Pakistan’s limited overs series against Australia, where he made his ODI debut.
In those three ODIs, he scored 22 runs at an average of 22.
Following this, he was involved in the three-match T20I series and accumulated 47 runs at an average of 23.50.
Still in the infancy stages of his international career, Irfan is determined to stamp his authority and be known as someone who can get the job done against the strongest teams in the sport.
“Performing against big teams is what makes you a big player,” the 21-year-old from Mianwali was quoted as saying by Geo Super.
Irfan is now in action in Pakistan’s three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe and made seven runs in the first match, which the men in green lost by 80 runs via the DLS method.
The second ODI will be held on November 26 in Bulawayo.
Following the ODIs, Pakistan and Zimbabwe will face each other in a three-match T20I series, which will get underway on December 1 in Bulawayo.
