Pakistan middle order batsman Salman Ali Agha has called the pace attack “outstanding”, saying they can bowl at speeds of 140 kph.
Pakistan have a number of high-profile speedsters in white-ball cricket, including Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf, Mohammad Hasnain and Abbas Afridi.
All of them were in action in the recent series against Australia, where Salman made his debut as Pakistan’s new limited overs vice-captain.
“Our pace attack is outstanding and our pacers have the ability to bowl at 140,” he was quoted as saying by Geo Super.
The men in green won the ODIs 2-1, which gave them their first ODI series win in Australia since 2002.
Rauf led the way in the bowling department, taking 10 wickets, which included a five-wicket haul, at an average of 12.
As for the T20Is, Pakistan were whitewashed 3-0.
This time, it was Abbas who was the highest wicket-taker for the men in green as he finished with six wickets at an average of 6.66.
Pakistan are now facing Zimbabwe in a three-match ODI series and find themselves 1-0 down after losing the first game by 80 runs via the DLS method.
The second ODI will be held on November 26 in Bulawayo.
Once the ODIs are done, the two teams will play a three-match T20I series, with the first match getting underway on December 1 in Bulawayo.
