Noman Ali said he doesn’t deserve to be in Pakistan’s team for the 2025 Champions Trophy

Pakistan spinner Noman Ali honestly admitted that he doesn’t deserve to be in the squad for the 2025 Champions Trophy.
Noman’s comments come after he starred in Pakistan’s recent three-Test series against England, which the men in green won 2-1.
Featuring in only the second and third Tests, the 38-year-old took 20 wickets, which included two five-wicket hauls, at an average of 13.85.
Even though he was in phenomenal form against England, Noman hasn’t represented his country in ODIs before.
In regards to his List A career, he has claimed 119 wickets in 92 matches at an average of 29.73.
Considering the number of other spinners Pakistan have when it comes to ODI cricket, Noman acknowledged that he shouldn’t be considered for selection.
“No,” he was quoted as saying by PakPassion when asked if he should be included in the Champions Trophy team.
After the England series, the men in green took on Australia in a limited overs series, which consisted of three ODIs and three T20Is.
Pakistan won the ODIs 2-1, which was their first ODI series win in Australia since 2002.
However, they failed to maintain their momentum in the T20Is as they were crushed 3-0.
The men in green are now facing Zimbabwe in an ODI series and trail 1-0 after losing the first game by 80 runs via the DLS method.
The second ODI will be held on November 26 in Bulawayo.
After the three-match ODI series concludes, Pakistan and Zimbabwe will play three T20Is, with the first match getting underway on December 1 in Bulawayo.
