Legendary Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has heaped praise on iconic India batsman Sachin Tendulkar, saying he used to hit him “when I was reversing the ball at 155 kph”.

Tendulkar is widely regarded as the best batsman to ever play the game and he still holds the record for the most runs scored in Test cricket and ODIs.

Akhtar pointed out that what made the ‘Little Master’ so special was the fact that he could “make runs at will” in difficult situations.

“Sachin Tendulkar used to score in every difficult situation. He used to hit me when I was reversing the ball at 155 kph. Anything over 150 kph is hard to see, but Sachin used to make runs at will,” the Rawalpindi Express was quoted as saying by journalist Farid Khan on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The Pakistan team played three Tests against England and won 2-1, which gave them their first Test series win at home since 2021.

They then proceeded to take on Australia in three ODIs and won 2-1, which marked the first time they won an ODI series in Australia since 2002.

Currently, Pakistan and Australia are facing each other in a three-match T20I series, which Australia lead 2-0 going into the third match on November 18 in Hobart.

Following this, the men in green will embark on a tour of Zimbabwe, where they will play three ODIs and three T20Is from November 24 to December 5.
