Former Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Asif: “Our team isn’t as bad as it’s performing”

Former Pakistan swing maestro Mohammad Asif believes the national team is not as bad as their recent performances suggest.
The men in green have endured a torrid time as of late, with embarrassing losses coming against the likes of the United States of America in the 2024 T20 World Cup.
More recently, they were whitewashed 2-0 by Bangladesh in a two-Test series in Rawalpindi.
However, Pakistan recovered from that disappointing defeat in their three-Test series against England, which they won 2-1 to secure their first Test series victory on home soil since 2021.
Considering the come-from-behind win against England, Asif noted that there are plenty of talented cricketers in the team, but not all of them have been pulling their weight consistently.
“Our team isn’t as bad as it’s performing,” he was quoted as saying by PakPassion on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The men in green are now facing Australia in a limited overs series, which consists of three ODIs and three T20Is.
Pakistan won the ODIs 2-1, which gave them their first ODI series victory in Australia since 2002.
After the Australia series, they will travel to Zimbabwe to play three ODIs and three T20Is from November 24 to December 5.
