Pakistan Test captain Shan Masood has been forced to defend his side, stating that the players aren’t mentally weak.
The men in green suffered an embarrassing 2-0 loss to Bangladesh, even though both matches were played on home soil in Rawalpindi.
However, Pakistan overcame that poor performance to beat England 2-1 in three Tests, which gave them their first Test series victory at home since 2021.
Considering how well the team fought to come back from 1-0 down to win the series, Masood insisted that he can’t question his side’s mental toughness.
“I wouldn’t say my team is mentally weak,” he was quoted as saying by NDTV.
Pakistan are now facing Australia in a white-ball series that consists of three ODIs and three T20Is.
Following this, the men in green will travel to Zimbabwe to play three ODIs and three T20Is from November 24 to December 5.
