Shan Masood: “My question to Hasnain would be: You’re bowling really well – how well can you also do in red-ball cricket?”

Pakistan Test captain Shan Masood is fully aware of how well fast bowler Mohammad Hasnain has been doing, but challenged him to replicate his success in red-ball cricket.
Hasnain recently featured in the Champions One-Day Cup, which was a domestic 50-over competition held in Faisalabad, and finished as the top wicket-taker with 17 wickets in six matches for the Panthers at an average of 16.17.
He then played for Pakistan Television in the President’s Cup Grade-I (1-Day) tournament and was the joint third-highest wicket-taker with nine victims in four games at an average of 19.55.
With the 24-year-old from Hyderabad dominating in the one-day format, Masood now wants to see how well he performs during the first-class season.
“My question to Hasnain would be: You’re bowling really well – how well can you also do in red-ball cricket?” he was quoted as saying by Grassroots Cricket on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Masood recently captained Pakistan in their two-Test series against Bangladesh, which the men in green lost 2-0.
He is now leading the team in a three-Test series against England, which is tied at 1-1.
The third Test will begin on October 24 in Rawalpindi.
