Pakistan pace bowler Zaman Khan sent big-hitting batsman Mohammad Haris a TikTok video of his sixes in the hopes of getting promoted up the batting order during the Champions One-Day Cup.

Haris captained the Stallions in the tournament and had control over who batted where.

Zaman revealed that later on, the 23-year-old admitted that he had “made a mistake” by not allowing him to bat higher up.

Zaman took four wickets in two matches during the tournament at an average of 31.25.

He also made 48 runs, which included a top score of 42, at an average of 24 and a strike-rate of 240.

To put his run-scoring into perspective, the 23-year-old struck six sixes, meaning 36 out of the 48 runs he made came from maximums.

“I posted a TikTok video of my sixes for Mohammad Haris to see so he would send me higher up the order. Later, he said Zaman I made a mistake. I said I told you that video was for you,” the fast bowler from Mirpur was quoted as saying by PakPassion on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Haris, meanwhile, amassed 113 runs in five games, which included a top score of 55, at an average of 22.60.

The Peshawar-born batsman didn’t feature in the President’s Cup Grade-I (1-Day) tournament, but Zaman did and claimed four wickets in three matches for Eshaal Associates at an average of 39.50.

Neither Haris nor Zaman were picked for Pakistan’s recent two-Test series against Bangladesh, which they lost 2-0.

The men in green are now involved in a three-match Test series against England and find themselves 1-0 down after losing the first Test in Multan by an innings and 47 runs.

The second Test got underway on October 15 in Multan.
