Pakistan fast bowler Aamer Jamal has lashed out at former Australia spinner Brad Hogg for making fun of ODI captain Mohammad Rizwan’s English.

He noted that as an international cricketer, Hogg should know better and not mock those whose first language is not English.

“I just [watched] a video which is circulating on Twitter and others social media. It is [a] very shameful act from Brad Hogg who [calls] himself [an] international cricketer [to be] making fun of Mohammad Rizwan about his English, which is his 3rd language, not even 2nd. I would rather suggest you to become TikToker because you might need followers and attention by making fun of other people, that’s the platform for you, not [the] cricket community,” Jamal said on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Rizwan recently featured in Pakistan’s three-match ODI series against New Zealand and scored 72 runs at an average of 24.

Following this, he captained the Multan Sultans in the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL) and accumulated 367 runs in 10 games, which included a century and a fifty, at an average of 52.42 and a strike-rate of 139.54.

Pakistan’s next assignment will see them play three T20Is against Bangladesh in Lahore from May 28 to June 1.

Despite performing well in PSL 10, Rizwan was not selected for the Bangladesh series.
