Pakistan batsman Kamran Ghulam: “My job is to perform; I’ve been delivering for three years”

Pakistan batsman Kamran Ghulam believes he deserved to be rewarded after delivering results for three years at the domestic level.
Ghulam had scored plenty of runs in domestic cricket and despite being in and around the Test side, he constantly kept failing to make it into the playing XI.
However, all that changed in the ongoing second Test against England as he not only made his Test debut, but did so in style as he scored a sensational 118, which came off 224 balls and included 11 boundaries and a six.
The 29-year-old aims to keep performing going forward as he knows it will enable him to keep hold of his spot in the national team.
“My job is to perform; I’ve been delivering for three years,” the Upper Dir native was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
Ghulam was not picked for Pakistan’s two-Test series against Bangladesh, which the men in green lost 2-0.
However, he did feature in the Champions One-Day Cup, which was a 50-over tournament held in Faisalabad.
Ghulam finished as the second-highest run-scorer with 250 runs in six games for the Markhors, which included two centuries, at an average of 41.66.
