Pakistan left-arm fast bowler Mir Hamza said his vast experience playing first-class cricket has given him the ability to know which deliveries to bowl at the right time.
Hamza has taken 454 wickets in 118 first-class matches at an impressive average of 22.66.
Recently, the 32-year-old has been representing Pakistan more often in Test cricket and has done well with the ball.
In the two-Test series against Bangladesh, he only featured in the second Test, but took three wickets.
Hamza then proceeded to play for the Dolphins in the Champions One-Day Cup, which was a 50-over tournament held in Faisalabad, and claimed six wickets in four games at an average of 30.50.
“A bowler with red-ball experience knows how to adapt to different situations and execute the right delivery at the right time,” he was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
Hamza is currently part of Pakistan’s squad for the ongoing three-match Test series against England, but he wasn’t included in the playing XI for the first Test in Multan, which the men in green lost by an innings and 47 runs.
The second Test will get underway on October 15 in Multan.
