Shahnawaz Dahani: “I just cannot understand how Babar made it look so easy”

Pakistan fast bowler Shahnawaz Dahani has questioned how Babar Azam makes batting look so easy after he smashed him for five consecutive boundaries in the Champions One-Day Cup.
Azam played for the Stallions in that tournament and amassed 230 runs in four matches, which included a century and a fifty, at an average of 76.66.
As for Dahani, he took three wickets in five games for the Markhors at an average of 58.33.
When their two sides met in the tournament, Dahani bowled the eighth over to Azam and after a dot ball off the first delivery, Azam absolutely punished the 26-year-old, taking 20 runs from his next five balls.
The Larkana native was stunned at how Azam picked him apart in that over and conceded the effortless display shows why the 29-year-old is one of the best batsmen in the world.
“I just cannot understand how Babar made it look so easy,” he said on X, formerly known as Twitter, as quoted by NDTV.
Prior to the Champions One-Day Cup, Azam featured in Pakistan’s two-Test series against Bangladesh and mustered 64 runs at an average of 16.
He recently played in the first Test against England in Multan and made scores of 30 and 5 as the men in green lost the match by an innings and 47 runs.
Azam has been rested for the second and third Tests against England, a move that was taken due to his poor form as of late.
Dahani, meanwhile, is currently in action in the President’s Cup Grade-I (1-Day) competition and has picked up four wickets in four games for Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited at an average of 39.
The second Test between Pakistan and England will begin on October 15 in Multan.
