England batsman Sam Billings has applauded Pakistan left-arm seamer Mohammad Amir, saying he keeps on showing what a quality bowler he is time and time again.
Amir has been taking wickets non-stop over the past couple of months and Billings conceded that the 32-year-old “is just brilliant”.
The Gujar Khan native recently featured in the 2024 T20 World Cup and picked up seven wickets in four matches at an average of 10.28 and an economy rate of 4.50.
“Mohammad Amir showed his quality once again. He is just brilliant,” Billings was quoted as saying by journalist Farid Khan on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Pakistan lost to the United States of America and India in the T20 World Cup before rebounding to take down Canada and Ireland.
Despite triumphing in those two games, the men in green failed to make it through to the Super Eights.
Next up for Pakistan will be a two-match Test series against Bangladesh in Rawalpindi and Karachi from August 21 to September 3.
