Pakistan seamer Mohammad Ali said being “robust enough to bowl long spells” is a vital skill all fast bowlers must have if they want to be successful.
He noted that having patience and being able to consistently hit the right areas during lengthy spells is what results in wickets.
The 31-year-old, who has been excelling in domestic cricket, pointed out that he has gotten his body used to bowling lots of overs, which is why he has enjoyed a lot of success as of late.
“A pace bowler must be robust enough to bowl long spells. I have also been fond of bowling long spells and it is not a new thing for me,” the Sialkot native was quoted as saying by A Sports.
Ali did not feature in the 2024 T20 World Cup, where the men in green were knocked out in the group stage.
However, he has been picked for Pakistan’s two-Test series against Bangladesh, which will be held in Rawalpindi and Karachi from August 21 to September 3.
