Pakistan fast bowler Aamer Jamal has admitted that limited overs captain Babar Azam is more defensive than Test skipper Shan Masood.
He pointed out that Azam “thinks about securing the team first”, while Masood has a more aggressive approach, whereby “he believes if somebody throws [a] punch, you should too”.
Despite leading Pakistan in different ways, Jamal noted that he enjoys playing under both captains as they care about all the players.
“When it comes to captaincy, both have their own different mindsets. Shan Bhai’s approach is different, and Bobby Bhai’s approach is different. I have very good terms with both of them,” he was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.

“As captains, both of them understand you and ask about your needs and what you require.”
Azam recently captained Pakistan in the 2024 T20 World Cup, where the men in green lost to the United States of America and India before claiming consolation wins over Canada and Ireland.
Masood will now lead Pakistan in their two-Test series against Bangladesh, which will be held in Rawalpindi and Karachi from August 21 to September 3.
