Up-and-coming Pakistan cricketer Haseebullah Khan has thanked wicketkeeper-batsman Sarfaraz Ahmed for constantly helping and guiding him.
Haseebullah noted that he has never met anyone “as sincere” as the former Pakistan captain and added that the 37-year-old is always willing to assist him “no matter what I asked him”.
The 21-year-old is seen as a future star in the making and has represented Pakistan in one T20I to date.
However, given his strong domestic performances lately, Haseebullah is likely to see more opportunities come his way.
“I have rarely encountered someone as sincere as Saifi bhai (Sarfaraz Ahmed). No matter what I asked him, he never refused me and always helped me selflessly. Saifi bhai not only helps me but continues to guide me,” he was quoted as saying by A Sports.
Haseebullah was not part of Pakistan’s squad for the 2024 T20 World Cup, where the men in green lost to the United States of America and India before rebounding to beat Canada and Ireland.
Despite winning those two games, Pakistan failed to make it through to the Super Eights.
