Usman Khawaja: “Babar Azam is one of the best batsmen in the world”

Australia opener Usman Khawaja has acknowledged the greatness of Pakistan superstar Babar Azam, calling him “one of the best batsmen in the world.”
Azam has been Pakistan’s most consistent run-scorer for the last few years and has broken a plethora of records as well.
While the 29-year-old’s form has been a bit turbulent as of late, Khawaja knows better than to underestimate Pakistan’s limited overs captain.
“Babar Azam is one of the best batsmen in the world,” he was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
In the 2024 T20 World Cup, Azam was Pakistan’s highest run-scorer with 122 runs in four matches at an average of 40.66 and a strike-rate of 101.66.
The men in green lost to the United States of America and India before bouncing back to take down Canada and Ireland.
Despite ending the group stage on a high, Pakistan failed to advance to the Super Eights.
