Pakistan pace bowler Shahnawaz Dahani: “You can’t skip the practice and rely solely on talent. Practice is the bridge between your abilities and success”

Pakistan fast bowler Shahnawaz Dahani has stressed the importance of practice, stating that cricketers can’t “rely solely on talent”.
He noted that putting in the hard yards in training “is the bridge between your abilities and success”.
Dahani has been a force to be reckoned with in domestic cricket as of late. Most recently, the 25-year-old from Larkana represented Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited in the President’s Cup Grade-I (1-Day) tournament and finished as the highest wicket-taker with 19 wickets in seven matches at an average of 16.47.
Having performed well at the domestic level, Dahani will be hoping to get another chance to play for Pakistan again as he last featured in an international match in October 2022.
“You can’t skip the practice and rely solely on talent. Practice is the bridge between your abilities and success,” he was quoted as saying by PakPassion on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The Pakistan team recently played in the 2024 T20 World Cup and lost to the United States of America and India before bouncing back to defeat Canada and Ireland.
Despite triumphing in those two matches, it wasn’t enough to get them through to the Super Eights.
