Legendary Pakistan left-arm pace bowler Wasim Akram has suggested that there is bad blood within the national team, saying “somebody has to speak the truth”.
He asked what was going on amongst the players as “someone’s mood is off” and “this guy is not talking to that guy”.
With plenty of speculation of rifts forming within the squad, Wasim thinks it is time for someone to clear the air as all the rumours are affecting the team’s performance.
“Somebody has to speak the truth about this Pakistan cricket team. It’s kind of getting out of hand. Someone’s mood is off, this guy is not talking to that guy. Come on, guys! What is this going on! You have played with the emotions of the entire nation, there is a limit to everything,” the Sultan of Swing was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
Pakistan recently featured in the 2024 T20 World Cup and lost their first two games against the United States of America and India.
Despite bouncing back to beat Canada and Ireland, it was not enough to earn them a spot in the Super Eights.
