Former Pakistan skipper Aamer Sohail said Babar Azam “still needs to improve a lot as captain”.

Azam’s leadership abilities have come under immense scrutiny once again following Pakistan’s nightmarish 2024 T20 World Cup campaign.

The men in green began with a shock loss to the United States of America before tasting defeat in a low-scoring thriller against India.

While they managed to bounce back and defeat Canada and Ireland, it was not enough to save them from being eliminated in the group stage.

With the men in green having failed to advance to the Super Eights, many people have lashed out at Azam and questioned whether he is the right man to be leading Pakistan.

Sohail did not give a definite answer to that question, but confirmed that the 29-year-old’s captaincy skills need to get better.

“Babar Azam still needs to improve a lot as captain,” he told PakPassion.
