Danish Kaneria: “Wasim Akram and other people can only preach from the outside. Why don’t they come help the Pakistan side?”

Former Pakistan spinner Danish Kaneria has slammed legendary left-arm seamer Wasim Akram for constantly criticising the national team, saying the Sultan of Swing should instead look to help the squad.
Kaneria’s comments come after Wasim lambasted the team for their subpar performance in the 2024 T20 World Cup.
The men in green lost to the United States of America and India before bouncing back to take down Canada and Ireland.
Even though they won their last two group stage matches, it was not enough to earn them a spot in the Super Eights.
Given that the results in the T20 World Cup would have hurt the team’s confidence, Kaneria feels the players would benefit from having icons like Wasim guide them so they develop and get better.
“Wasim Akram and other people can only preach from the outside. Why don’t they come help the Pakistan side? Why did Wasim Akram not pose the question about Mohammad Amir’s selection immediately?” he told Sports Now as quoted by Cricket Pakistan.
