Former Pakistan batsman Yasir Hameed expressed his amazement at the pace legendary fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar was able to generate when bowling.
Akhtar holds the record for the fastest ball ever bowled in international cricket at 161.3 kph (100.2 mph).
He represented Pakistan in 46 Tests and claimed 178 wickets at an average of 25.69.
Akhtar also featured in 163 ODIs and picked up 247 wickets at an average of 24.97.
As for his T20I career, he snapped up 19 wickets in 15 matches at an average of 22.73.
Reacting to a video of the Rawalpindi Express cutting through the Australia team, Hameed applauded the 48-year-old for his bowling speed.
“Wow what pace Shoaib,” he said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Pakistan recently featured in the 2024 T20 World Cup and began their campaign with losses to the United States of America and India before bouncing back to defeat Canada and Ireland.
However, those two victories went in vain as Pakistan were eliminated in the group stage of the competition.
