Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh has told Pakistan limited overs head coach Gary Kirsten not to waste his time leading the men in green.
His comments come after Pakistan were knocked out in the group stage of the 2024 T20 World Cup.
Harbhajan instead urged the former South Africa batsman to “come back to coach team India” as he guided the men in blue to their World Cup triumph in 2011.
“Don’t waste your time there Gary… Come back to coach team India… Gary Kirsten, one of the rare gems. A great coach, mentor, honest and very dear friend to all in our 2011 team… our winning coach of [the] 2011 World Cup. Special man Gary,” he said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Pakistan began their campaign with a shock loss to the United States of America before tasting defeat in a low-scoring thriller against India.
Despite bouncing back to beat Canada and Ireland, it wasn’t enough to get them through to the Super Eights.
