Pakistan batsman Ahmed Shehzad: “If the selectors consider me as a great fit for the team, then I’m available. These cricketers are not capable of playing international cricket”

Senior Pakistan batsman Ahmed Shehzad has sent a clear message to the national selectors, saying he is available for selection.
Shehzad has been a solid performer in domestic cricket and was recently in action for the Water And Power Development Authority (WAPDA) in the President’s Cup Grade-I (1-Day) tournament.
The 32-year-old featured in six matches and amassed 187 runs, which included two fifties, at an average of 31.16.
Shehzad last played for Pakistan in October 2019, but believes that he could be a better option than some of the players in the squad right now.
“If the selectors consider me as a great fit for the team, then I’m available. These cricketers are not capable of playing international cricket,” he was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
The Pakistan team recently played in the 2024 T20 World Cup and began with consecutive losses to the United States of America and India before fighting back to defeat Canada and Ireland.
However, their two victories went in vain as the men in green failed to make it past the group stage.
