Former Pakistan all-rounder Yasir Arafat doesn’t believe fast bowler Haris Rauf is back to full confidence just yet.
Rauf suffered a dislocated shoulder while playing for the Lahore Qalandars in the 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL) and missed Pakistan’s T20I series against New Zealand and Ireland.
He returned during the men in green’s four-match T20I series against England and took five wickets in two games at an average of 14.40 and an economy rate of 9.60.
The 30-year-old continued to have an impact with the ball in the 2024 T20 World Cup, claiming seven wickets in four matches at an average of 14.42 and an economy rate of 6.73.
Despite his impressive performances as of late, Arafat reiterated that the Rawalpindi native’s confidence levels are still not at their highest.
“Haris… has just returned, although his confidence isn’t fully back,” he told Cricket Pakistan.
In the T20 World Cup, Pakistan began with back-to-back losses against the United States of America and India before bouncing back to take down Canada and Ireland.
Even though they ended the group stage with two wins, it was not enough to earn them a spot in the Super Eights.
