Shahid Afridi on Virat Kohli: “I expected such a statement from Virat. I welcome Virat, whether he comes to the PSL or with the Indian team”

Legendary Pakistan big-hitter Shahid Afridi said whether Virat Kohli comes to play in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) or tours the country with the India team, he would welcome him with open arms.
Afridi’s comments come after Kohli recently expressed his willingness to visit Pakistan.
The 44-year-old applauded the former India captain for his statement and will no doubt hope Kohli and the rest of the Indian team visit the nation for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy.
“I expected such a statement from Virat. I welcome Virat, whether he comes to the PSL or with the Indian team,” Afridi was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan team recently faced New Zealand in a five-match T20I series, which finished as a 2-2 draw.
They then proceeded to defeat Ireland 2-1 in a three-match T20I series.
Currently, the men in green are taking on England in a four-match T20I series and are 1-0 down after losing the second game by 23 runs.
After this, they will be in action in the 2024 T20 World Cup, which will be played in the West Indies and United States of America from June 1 to 29.
Pakistan’s first T20 World Cup game will be against the United States of America in Dallas on June 6.
