Sarfraz Nawaz: “Hasan has no place in the team. In fact, even a domestic team would think twice before giving him an opportunity in the playing XI. His speed and overall utility is not worthy of consideration in the playing XI”

Former Pakistan seamer Sarfraz Nawaz has put veteran fast bowler Hasan Ali in his crosshairs, saying he “has no place in the team”.
Nawaz admitted he cannot understand how Hasan is being given opportunities to represent the country right now and thus called for “personal friendship, likings and disliking” to stop.
Additionally, he also criticised the 29-year-old’s bowling speed, saying it is too slow and makes him unworthy “of consideration in the playing XI”.
“I think the time has come to think beyond personal friendship, likings and disliking. Hasan has no place in the team. In fact, even a domestic team would think twice before giving him an opportunity in the playing XI. His speed and overall utility is not worthy of consideration in the playing XI,” Nawaz was quoted as saying by The News, according to Geo Super.
Hasan did not feature in Pakistan’s five-match T20I series against New Zealand, which ended as a 2-2 draw.
However, he did play one T20I against Ireland, but went wicketless and conceded 42 runs from the three overs he bowled.
Pakistan are now playing a four-match T20I series against England, which is tied at 0-0 after the first game was rained off.
Afterwards, they will take part in the 2024 T20 World Cup, which will be played in the West Indies and United States of America from June 1 to 29.
Pakistan’s first T20 World Cup game will be against the United States of America in Dallas on June 6.
