Pakistan left-arm spinner Imad Wasim is ready to “satisfy people with my performance on the field” as he knows a lot is expected of him after he reversed his decision to retire from international cricket.

Imad made the decision after the 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL) and was subsequently fast-tracked into the national team for the five-match T20I series against New Zealand, where he took one wicket in two games at an average of 37 and an economy rate of 7.40.

He followed that up with two wickets in three T20Is against Ireland at an average of 36 and an economy rate of 7.20.

“I want to satisfy people with my performance on the field and play according to the role given to me,” the 35-year-old was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.

Pakistan’s next assignment will see them play four T20Is against England from May 22 to May 30.

After that, they will participate in the 2024 T20 World Cup, which will be played in the West Indies and United States of America from June 1 to 29.

Pakistan’s first T20 World Cup game will be against the United States of America in Dallas on June 6.
