Pakistan batsman Salman Ali Agha said it is up to the national selectors to decide whether he is worthy of a spot in the team for the 2024 T20 World Cup.

Salman has been in good form as of late and has also proven to be a handy part-time off-spinner.

That said, he didn’t feature in Pakistan’s five-match T20I series against New Zealand and three-match T20I series against Ireland.

With the T20 World Cup right around the corner, Salman knows the squad for the tournament will be announced soon. However, he is focused on Pakistan’s four-match T20I series against England instead of worrying about what is out of his control.

“My focus is on the upcoming matches and the decision to select me for the World Cup is down to the selectors,” the 30-year-old was quoted as saying by Geo Super.

Pakistan’s T20I series against England will take place from May 22 to 30.

After that, the men in green will participate in the T20 World Cup, which will be held in the West Indies and United States of America from June 1 to 29.

Pakistan’s first T20 World Cup game will be against the United States of America in Dallas on June 6.
