Former Pakistan team director Mohammad Hafeez has picked four players that he feels will give the men in green a “strong top order” in T20Is.

Opening the batting, Hafeez picked Mohammad Rizwan and Saim Ayub, even though limited overs captain Babar Azam has been at the top of the order for the last few years.

Instead, the former all-rounder put Azam at number three and feels big-hitter Fakhar Zaman should come in at number four.

“Rizwan and Saim as openers followed by Babar and Fakhar at three [and four] will make a strong top order for Pakistan,” he told Geo News as quoted by NDTV.

Pakistan recently played a five-match T20I series against New Zealand, which they drew 2-2.

Following that, they played three T20Is against Ireland and claimed a 2-1 win.

Next up for the men in green will be a four-match T20I series against England from May 22 to May 30.

Following this, they will be involved in the T20 World Cup, which will be played in the West Indies and United States of America from June 1 to 29.

Pakistan’s first T20 World Cup game will be against the United States of America in Dallas on June 6.
