Pakistan seamer Hasan Ali has lavished praise on Test captain Shan Masood, saying he is “a brilliant player” who is “getting better day by day.”
Masood replaced Babar Azam as Test skipper after the latter decided to step down from the leadership role in all three formats following Pakistan’s poor performance in the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup.
In addition to leading the men in green, the 34-year-old is also captained the Karachi Kings in the 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL), which is the team Hasan also played for.
Having witnessed Masood’s leadership skills firsthand, the 29-year-old conceded that he likes what he has seen and hopes the top order batsman continues to go from strength to strength in the future.
“Shan is a brilliant player. He just got the captaincy of Pakistan and he’s getting better day by day and he’s a good man,” Hasan was quoted as saying by A Sports.
