Babar Azam: “Pat Cummins is one of the difficult bowlers”

Pakistan limited overs captain Babar Azam picked his Australian counterpart Pat Cummins as one of the toughest bowlers he has faced in his career.
Cummins has troubled many batsmen over the years due to his disciplined line and length, blistering pace, and exceptional variations.
While Azam could have picked from a wide pool of brilliant bowlers, he ended up landing on Cummins.
“Pat Cummins is one of the difficult bowlers,” he told the Peshawar Zalmi podcast as quoted by Cricket Pakistan.
Azam recently captained the Zalmi in the 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL) and finished as the highest run-scorer with 569 runs in 11 games, which included a century and five fifties, at an average of 56.90 and a strike-rate of 142.60.
Having recently been reappointed as white-ball captain, the 29-year-old will now lead Pakistan in their five-match T20I series against New Zealand, which will be held in Rawalpindi and Lahore from April 18 to 27.
