Former Pakistan head coach Grant Bradburn has lavished praise on left-arm seamer Mir Hamza, calling him “a very skilful bowler.”

Hamza could become a regular member of the Test team going forward, especially after his superb performance in the three-Test series against Australia from December 2023 to January 2024.

The 31-year-old featured in two Tests in that series and took seven wickets at an average of 20.71.

Bradburn now coaches Glamorgan and is excited to have the services of Hamza for the first seven County Championship matches.

“It’s exciting to catch up with Mir Hamza again, he’s a wonderful human being and I know he’s going to love it here, he’s a very skilful bowler,” he was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.

Hamza recently played for the Karachi Kings in the 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL) and claimed 10 wickets in seven games at an average of 22.30 and an economy rate of 8.86.

Pakistan’s next assignment will be a five-match T20I series against New Zealand, which will take place in Rawalpindi and Lahore from April 18 to 27.
